I’ve always loved lists. Not making them, mind you, but working my way through them. I started reading all Pulitzer Prize Winners for Fiction in high school and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. If there were a list about what foods I should eat on what days, I would try to conquer that one too.
So, there’s this book 1001 Movies to See Before You Die. Each year there is a new addition, but I use the 2008 version to keep consistency. My goal is to watch and review all movies on the list before I die or get bored and move on to something else. I originally watched the movies chronologically but then an Alamo Drafthouse opened up nearby and I decided to watch randomly in order to get the full experience on screen whenever possible.
This blog is just my humble opinion about the movies I watch. I try to add in Simpsons references when possible because why not, and I usually don’t do much research unless I’m truly interested. Mostly, 1001 Movie Nights has been a fun project to sink my teeth into and hopefully learn a little more about the world around me.
