A year ago, I decided it was time to start something new. I am already reading Pulitzer Prize Winners in Fiction so I wanted to do something related to movies. I found a book, 1001 Movies to See Before You Die, and decided it was perfect because 1) I love lists 2) there are many obscure films on here and I wanted a challenge.

The book is laid out chronoligically instead of a countdown so, if anything, it is a good lesson in film history. I won’t bother reviewing the shorter films becasue they are what they are. I will say that I quite enjoyed ‘Le Voyage dans la lune’ just because it is interesting to see how people imagined the moon to be and how we would someday get there. I’m going to post a couple of reviews out of order, but I plan to catch up after this latest movie. Just a disclaimer: I have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about when it comes to movies. This is a learning experience for me so don’t expect me to give thoughtful response. I can guarantee that there will not be much analysis done, just a quick review.
